Cycle 2 – Embodying Developmental Memories

A site-specific marine workshop with Eleonora Parello

August 19 – 26, 2026 | Lefkada, Greece

A somatic journey between land and sea — exploring fluidity, memory, and the origins of movement.

About this cycle

This cycle invites you into a deep, sensory exploration of movement in relation to water.

Moving between land and sea, the practice connects aquatic experience with somatic awareness, opening a space where the body can rediscover fluidity, perception, and early movement patterns.

What you will explore

• Move in and with the sea through guided somatic exploration

• Explore fluidity and internal body systems

• Connect to early developmental movement patterns

• Expand sensory awareness and deep listening

• Experience movement as relational and environmental

• Engage in a playful yet profound embodied process

The practice

Inspired by Body-Mind Centering®, this site-specific workshop explores the body through its fluid nature and developmental origins.

The work dives into:

• the fluids within the body

• embryonic and fetal development

• the evolutionary roots of life in water

Through this process, participants are invited to reconnect with movement patterns, perceptual dynamics, and embodied memories that belong both to individual development (ontogenetic) and to the wider history of life (phylogenetic).

This approach opens access to a more primary, intuitive potential—a resource that can inform how we move, relate, and coexist in the present.

A practice of listening and presence

This is a somatic practice of deep listening, sensitivity, and awareness.

The process may evoke memories or emotions, while also creating space for:

• slowness and expansion

• presence and care

• play and dynamic exploration

Attention shifts toward how life organizes itself at a cellular level—before fixed form, before identity—where we exist as fluid, communicating spaces in constant transformation.

At its roots, life is relation and flow.
