Bloom Inside

Bloom Inside

Somatic Movement & Embodied Awareness

29 May – 1 June 2026 | Paleohori eco-art space

A 4-day somatic movement gathering of movement, rest and connection in nature.

In the peak of the blooming season, Paleohori invites you to a 4-day gathering of somatic movement,

dance improvisation and community connection.

An invitation to slow down, move with care and reconnect with the deep wisdom of body and earth,

immersed in the natural environment of Lefkada.

Through guided movement practices and shared moments of rest and reflection,

we will explore embodied awareness, relational movement and creative expression.

No previous experience is required.

The Practice

A movement-based session inviting participants to explore intuitive and authentic ways of moving and relating to the body in the present moment.

Through guided movement exploration,

improvisational exercises,

and moments of moving and witnessing,

participants are invited to listen to their body, observe their patterns and discover new ways of relating to themselves, others and space in a playful and supportive environment.

What this cultivates

  • embodied awareness – getting access to the most tangible of our bodies, the physical
  • reconnection with our intuitive movement while supporting softness in the body,
  • creative ways of expressing our thoughts, emotions, releasing tension and channeling creatively our energy

Porous Bodies

How can we become aware of our permeability as a channel between inner and outer worlds?

Our bodies are porous, like sponges.

They absorb what surrounds us — thoughts, emotions, environments, materials.

Some experiences remain within us and weigh us down. Others move through us and are expressed.

This gathering is an invitation to explore how we relate to our permeability, what we allow to pass through us, what we choose to absorb as living, creative organisms, and what we wish to release to the world.

To reflect, individually and collectively, on what we want to let pass through us, and to move towards creating it.

Facilitation

The movement sessions are facilitated by Kyveli Kouvatsi, and are based on a participatory and non-hierarchical approach, cultivating the agency of each person’s own practice within an environment of collective care.

Kyveli is a movement practitioner and dance educator working with somatic movement, improvisation and creative exploration. Her practice focuses on embodied awareness, presence and movement as a creative experience.

She has studied Contemporary Dance at the National School of Dance (KSOT) and continues her ongoing practice and research in somatics and movement improvisation, informed and inspired by approaches such as Skinner Releasing Technique, Body-Mind Centering, Authentic Movement and more.

She is the creator of the movement practice Bloom Inside and co-creator of Losing Ground, and has been facilitating somatic movement and dance practices for adults and children since 2017. She is also the curator of movement education initiatives such as Rest in Motion and Unplugged Dance.

The practice cultivates presence, connection with the body and relationship with others through improvisation, contact and attentive listening.

Inspired by awareness-based practices and the simplicity of nature, it proposes a space where each person can explore towards a freer and more spontaneous dance, and connect more deeply with themselves and others.
