About

In a world that often equates movement with effort and rest with stillness, Rest in Motion invites you to explore a space where these opposites dissolve into one another. Set in the remote wild beauty of Paleohori, nestled in the mountains of Lefkada, this summer somatic movement and dance program offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with your unique movement through somatic exploration, experiential anatomy, dance improvisation, transdisciplinary artistic expression.

Across two immersive periods, participants will engage with the immersive and inspiring work of Marina Tsartsara and Eleonora Parello, two experienced BMC® practitioners and artists, each bringing their own approach to embodiment and art, offering tools to uncover new pathways of expression and perception, and inviting you to be fully present in your body—moving not out of habit or expectation, but from a place of deep listening and awareness.

Eleonora Parello invites participants into a site-specific marine journey that unfolds between land and sea. Through somatic exploration inspired by Body-Mind Centering®, her work gently guides attention toward fluidity, early movement memories, and the body’s deep relationship with water. In dialogue with the marine environment, participants are invited to listen, sense, and play—awakening embodied memories and discovering new ways of moving, relating, and being present with themselves, the group, and the living waters.

Marina Tsartsara brings her Somatic Art Practice® (SAP®), an inter- and transdisciplinary approach that interlaces somatic inquiry with visual and movement-based art-making. In this workshop, attention is placed on fascia—the body’s connective tissues—and on the dynamic relationship between rest and activity, exploring how support, elasticity, and responsiveness are experienced in the body and in relation to others. Drawing from Body-Mind Centering® and visual arts, participants are invited into somatic exploration and creative processes that reveal how these qualities shape movement, perception, and connection with oneself, the group, and the surrounding natural world.

Together, the two cycles offer complementary pathways into Rest in Motion, exploring fluid support and the dynamic interplay between rest and activity through experiential anatomy, embodied creation, and transdisciplinary artistic practices.

Who is it for

Anyone who wishes to engage with dance and movement improvisation in an embracing environment, within a co-living setup in nature, is more than welcome—regardless of age, physicality, or dance practice level.

For cycle 1 no experience in free diving is needed, only will to explore under guidance.
