Interwoven Practices of Somatic Movement, Plant Wisdom & Collective Care

The program will unfold as a field of interwoven practices — blending somatic movement inquiry with hands-on herbal exploration.

Movement will be an ongoing invitation to engage deeply with the body’s wisdom through dance improvisation, somatic exploration, partnering, conscious touch, and attuned presence. This somatic dance exploration encourages noticing internal sensations, responding honestly, and moving in dialogue with oneself, others, and the environment.

The movement workshops will be gently guided by Kyveli Kouvatsi and Yorgos Sioras Deligiannis, who bring their unique tools and perspectives from their somatic movement and dance practices Losing Ground and Bloom Inside.

Losing Ground™ is a partnering, hands-on practice emerging from extensive movement research into improvisation, co-movement, touch, empathy, and consent. It emphasizes shared decision-making and deep listening between partners, exploring the concept of togetherness through closed eyes and tactile connection.

Combining somatic movement exploration with psychological self-observation and active listening, this practice encourages releasing deep tissue tension and building a collaborative dance rooted in presence, mutual respect, and emotional awareness. An invitation to move through a fluid, nonverbal dialogue that nurtures authentic connection, freedom, and creative discovery.

Bloom Inside is about embodied awareness and authentic self-expression through spontaneous, mindful movement—nurturing resilience, presence, and a deep connection between the inner self and the surrounding world. Inspired by both the tangible and intangible, it weaves somatic movement, hands-on practices, experiential anatomy, permaculture principles, and mindfulness into a field where practitioners shape their own unique practice through reflective dances, sensorial explorations, and creative practice.

Rooted in this approach is a practice of unveiling—cultivating the ability to realize our naked, raw, ephemeral, eternal, fluid, present movement—our continuous, unique transformation. Within this framework, there are no mistakes or correct answers, only honest exploration through self-observation, active listening, and genuine interaction grounded in respect for the Other.

With the guidance and 25 years experience of Aris Kokotsis, we’ll be attuning not just to the medicinal properties of plants, but also to their presence and frequency — how they resonate with the body’s energetic landscape.

We’ll gain practical skills like crafting our own tinctures and creams, while also deepening our connection to the plants through hands-on creation and care. Alongside this, we’ll explore the ancient myths and stories behind the plants—their names, their traditional uses, and the wisdom they’ve carried through generations.

This work will be grounded in direct experience, supported by the rhythm of the day, and held in a spirit of attunement with the land and each other.

No previous experience in dance or herbalism is needed. Just your willingness to arrive, listen, and move.
