About

A hybrid program, partial workshop, partial research residency, that invites three guest artists to openly share their approach to choreography, performance creation and movement practice and to further conduct research with a dedicated and curious group of participants. Over the course of four weeks, in the sloping forest of Paleohori, the guest artists will bring forth specific questions emerging from their personal practice to be explored collectively.

Three guest artists in dialogue, three groups of participants with the workshop of their choice, interwoven practices and some great questions to explore:

What if:

⋗ Choreography is in the service of the dancing body and its complexities?

⋗ The audience’s participation is more than just presence or even active engagement, but a political statement that truly mattered?

⋗ Dance was not something to be consumed, but an act of being, becoming, and encountering?

Participants will engage more with the research of their chosen artist, while also having access in the other two.

Participants will fully attend one research workshop and partially attend the other two during the residency.

Applicants are asked to select the two workshops they are most interested in and to briefly explain their preferences. Final assignment to one workshop will be made by the organizers, taking into account participants’ preferences and workshop capacity.
